The Homemakers Program is a joint venture between SMOC, Nobles, Rock, Pipestone, Murray, Jackson, Cottonwood and Lincoln Counties. SMOC employees in each of these counties go into homes of adults who would be at risk for nursing homes placement if not for the services provided.

Homemakers do many of the daily living tasks that make living at home possible, including housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, etc.

Family Services Agency staff determine who is eligible for services, and assign the specific tasks needed by each individual. This program fosters independent living, and allows people to stay in their homes as long as possible.

If you are interested in doing homemaker services contact the SMOC office at 507-376-4195 or 800-658-2444.
